A Note From Dan Cooper, President Cooper's Cottage Lace, LLC
When I started Cooper's Cottage Lace over four years ago, I wanted to create a line of curtains that stood far apart from the typical collection of patterns that dominated the market. I began with six styles, a number which has more than doubled, and accessorized the line with the addition of valances, table-scarves and a William Morris tablecloth. I've also added many more sizes and widths, which allows our customers the ability to use our lace in almost any window covering scenario. In fact, we offer more widths of each pattern than any other company!
Although we began by specializing in the under-represented Colonial Revival and Arts & Crafts styles, our line of Craftsman and Bungalow sheers was so well received that we extended the time-span of our product range to include Federal, Greek Revival, Classical, Victorian and Art Deco curtains and sidelights.
We quickly became known as being distinct from any other company's window treatments; most of the panels produced today are woven in standard patterns, with little difference between those of the several firms that are re-selling them. Cooper's Cottage Lace changed the way in which people regarded window treatments, providing its many clients with beautiful patterns that honor tradition, while adding a contemporary nuance. In fact, the most frequent compliment we receive is "Your lace is so different from everyone else's. It's just what I've been looking for!
All of our 100% cotton goods are available in Natural White (also known as Ivory) but can be easily tinted with the tea-dye method, or with other fabric dyes.
A Cooper's Cottage Lace curtain is not only ideal for historic interiors, but will enhance modern rooms as well. We offer the most personalized service of any company, with custom lengths (and custom patterns) available upon request. Please take advantage of our Loaner Service, which is phenomenally popular: we will send you previously opened lace panels if you'd like to experiment to see which lace curtain design is best for you!
